I have been a very lazy blogger. Thought about writing every day but never quite but the finger to the keyboard. Life just keeps getting in the way. First up is a stitching update. I have been making good progress on the three projects I've been working on. Firtst is new day which is a really happy and feel good project. I am doing it on a light lemon opolescent fabric. Makes me smile every time I work on it. At this point it is about 1/3 done. I'm also working on my Jenny Bean sampler. It's about 1/4 done. and looking terrific I might add. My new start this week is "272 words by Primrose Needleworks. It is the full text of the Gettysburg Address. I loved doing One Nation, and gave it to my brother in law for Christmas. But this Baby is for me! Its a good project to workon at night (when I can keep my eyes open). I am doing it on 32 count and using DMC threads. As it called for 10 skeins of Gentle Art Nutmeg and I can't how it makes any sense to spend that money. I love the effect on larger areas. I am also taking a quilting class its called "Baby Steps" and I am making a table runner. I am not so much interested in starting a new hobby (Lord save me from my addiction) but I thought the class would be helpful in teaching me some skills I could use in finishing. Oh forgot to mention I took a trip up to Williamsburg on Sat. met some friends there, had lunch and of course shopped till I dropped in my favorit stitcing store, Haus Tirol. So many pretty pretty things. Mostly got fabric. They have a fabulous selection. On another front,my continued quest towards health and fittness. I have lost 40 lbs. and am at my lowest weight in the past ten years. I would like to lose 60 more before the end of the year. Weight Watchers is a great program and I am also going to OA as I want to make this a lasting change. I have been reading (on my third read) Marianne Williamsons Weight Loss course. I can't say enough about this book. It has opened my eyes to so many ways my negative thinking has contributed to my weight struggle. I continue to go to the Y Mon -Fri. My schedule is crazy. I get up at 3:30 (yes 3:30) Drink a pot of coffee and do some inspirit. reading, get to the Y at 5 swim labs till 6, walk around the therapy pool for 30 minutes then take a short 15 minute nap in the hot tub (kidding-about the sleeping part) I have been trying very hard to get to work by 8. Needless to say I am whipped my 8pm!I feel so much better.Well I need to tend to my job, so everyone have a good afternoon and give yourself a big hug.
I'm so proud of you!
