Well even though it was short I felt like I packed a lot in. On friday night I went with family and friends to a charity event to support the food programs in the area. It was called the open bowl and is sponsered by the local pottery guild. The concept is when you get there you get to chose a ceramic bowl and oh my they were so many to chose from. I would pick one up I was in love with and then by the time I got to the next table another one had caught my eye. I finally settled on a sage green bowl with a scallped edge with leaves stamped in the inside of the bowl. After my difficult decision I enjoyed my supper of vegtable soup, a slice of bread and a donut. It is to symbolize a typical meal a homeless person would be lucky to have. There was entertainment and a silent aucction (I was out bid). The evening was very enjoyable and supported a worthy cause. if your community has a simular event I encourage you to attend. I will definety make this a yearly event. Saturday was spent stitching, grocery shopping and cooking. Sunday was spent getting ready to spend the afternoon with stitchig friends. I worked on my sams socks and got quite a bit accomplished. I then cooked a great supper garlic glazed chicken and brown rice. Spent the rest of the night getting ready for the week. Getting stuff ready for the Y tomarrow and packing my lunch for tomarrow. I have lost 21 ponds on weight watchers and it seems every week my points get lowered its ok I am eating plenty but I need to get more creative. I was doing some thinking about how much weight I have lost since what I remember as my all time high (about 12 years ago and it is a total of 102 lbs. Small changes surley do make a change over time. Hope every one had a great weekend.

Sorry I missed our Sunday! However, I used my day wisely. I rested and stitched. I almost finished one of my wips too. I've got another long week in store, but at least we are one week closer to the end of the season. The only plus to all of these hours will be more time off during the summer!
ReplyDeleteOur stitching time together yesterday was enjoyable as always. Good for the soul! Especially needed after such a week of ups and downs! Your bowl is so very lovely! Good pick. Enjoy your week. Hugs.

Have a nice weekend!!
